stag weekends

Jump into a world of adventure and choose a unique, exciting, diverse and unforgettable experience for your Stag do!  Coasteering is guaranteed to make your heart race and your group will experience an adrenaline filled, fun and fantastic journey along the coastline.

Coasteering Wales can also create a bespoke Stag Do experience, tailored to suit you and your group. From half-day experiences to full or multiday packages, along with our sister company Anglesey Adventures, we can be cater activity days/packages to all abilities and preferences.

Whether you want to battle up mountain streams and waterfalls, or see the coastline from a new perspective as you explore remote coves and crags, clamber along barnacled ledges, plunge into swirling surf, abseil down cliff faces, and scramble through coastal caves, we have the resources and experience to give you an unforgettable time.

We can assist with accommodation and also recommend our favourite places to eat and drink on the beautiful Island of Anglesey, we only ask that for the safety of everyone in the group; you arrive at the activity in a sober state, as we are unable to take out anyone we consider to be a danger to themselves or the group.

All activities are weather dependant, though we always endeavour to meet expectations and have other locations around the island for sea-based activities, in cases where the sea state and winds are too strong.

We supply all equipment and instructors and you have the option of choosing from a half day activity to a full weekend of adventure! Half day activities are priced from just £55 per person with the exception of  Adventure Coasteering, which is from £120 per person.

Adventure Coasteering involves a RIB, which will whisk the group around the coastal cliffs and drop off the group at points of interest for Coasteering with the added option of making it a full day activity with an abseil from a sea cliff, where the RIB will be waiting for you in the sea below. Most activities are weather dependent.

Why Anglesey?

Not only is the trend for overseas stag and hen dos expensive, it’s also having a serious impact on the environment.

New research commissioned by environmental charity Hubbub reveals that just under half (49%) of all flights taken by men aged 20-45 in 2019 were for stag dos. Just over a third (35%) of flights taken by women in the same age group were for hen dos.

By making a switch to a UK location, you could have a huge positive impact on the environment. By choosing Anglesey over Alicante, a group of 10 hen or stag do travellers from Manchester could reduce their carbon emissions by a staggering 98%! According to the research, swapping Las Vegas for Manchester is the equivalent of going vegan for 1.5 years.

Not to mention the costs involved, Censuswide, interviewed more than 2,000 20-45-year-olds across the UK and found that 58% feel that hen and stag dos abroad are too long, expensive or involve too much travel. A third (33%) feel resentful towards the bride, groom or trip organiser about the amount of money they’ve had to spend on a hen or stag do.

Over four trips, one regular stag-goer could save £640 over the course of a year by choosing UK destinations and not flying.

'When Hubbub asked about their ideal hen or stag do people told them it would involve a short journey, one or two nights away, a good choice of nightlife and access to adventure activities and spas'.
